Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA): What is it?
To protect against evolving cybersecurity threats, 91制片厂 requires Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for all students, faculty, and staff accessing university systems. MFA adds a second layer of security to your 91制片厂 account by requiring a secondary method of verification鈥攕uch as a mobile device or hardware token鈥攊n addition to your password.
MFA helps prevent unauthorized access, even if your password is compromised, and supports compliance with State of Florida access control policies. Enrolling in MFA is a simple but powerful way to safeguard your personal information and the university鈥檚 digital resources.
Microsoft Entra MFA
Entra MFA adds an extra layer of security when you sign in with your 91制片厂 account. Instead of just a password, you鈥檒l also confirm your identity using the Microsoft Authenticator app鈥攅ither with a push notification, a one-time code, or even biometrics like a fingerprint or face scan.
When signing in to 91制片厂 services, users may be asked to verify their identity using:
-
- Microsoft Authenticator app (recommended)
- Hardware token (e.g., YubiKey)
- SMS text message
- Additional options coming soon!
MFA provides an additional layer of security beyond your password and helps protect your account even if your password is compromised.
