About the Lab

We study how immune signals from the body reshape brain mechanisms involved in stress and alcohol addiction. By defining how brain鈥揵ody communication drives vulnerability and resilience, our work aims to uncover new therapeutic targets for neuropsychiatric and substance use disorders.

Before joining 91制片厂, Dr. Parise earned her B.S. and M.S. degrees in Psychology and Psychobiology, respectively, from Florida State University. Her early work focused on the neurobiology of reward dysfunction, specifically how adolescent exposure to psychostimulants alters gene expression within the mesolimbic reward system.

Teaching

Dr. Parise will be teaching in the medical education curriculum starting in 2026-2027.
