Student Advising Services

Student meeting with an advisor

Academic Advising in the Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters fosters relationships with students through collaborative learning that promotes student accountability for achieving their academic, personal, and professional goals. In partnership with the University community, academic advising supports a holistic college experience that encourages timely graduation and prepares students to be productive in both the workplace and society.

Advising services are available by appointment only to ensure that each student receives dedicated time and accurate, individualized guidance. Appointments may be scheduled either to be in person or virtually via Zoom, depending on your preference and availability. This structure allows advisors to thoroughly review your academic record in advance and provide the most helpful and informed support during your session.

We will be offering our virtual chat in lieu of in-person drop in meetings (non-scheduled) on Thursdays from 9 AM-12 PM, 1 PM- 4 PM.
