Biography
Stacy Rubin, M.D., FACP, is the 91制片厂 College of Medicine's (91制片厂COM) Director of the Foundations of Medicine Curriculum and an Associate Director of 91制片厂's Office of Interprofessional Education and Practice. Dr. Rubin has been at 91制片厂COM since June 2022. She is actively involved in undergraduate and graduate medical education at 91制片厂COM, primarily helping first- and second-year medical students translate what they learn in the classroom into patient care. Prior to coming to 91制片厂, Dr. Rubin served as Associate Program Director for the University of Miami's Regional Internal Medicine Residency Program at Holy Cross Health (UM@HCH) for six years. At UM@HCH, Dr. Rubin also was the founding Program Director of the University of Miami鈥檚 only Transitional Year Residency Program. Dr. Rubin has a passion for Academic General Internal Medicine and has special interests including but not limited to women鈥檚 health, mentoring students and residents, teaching clinical and communication skills, and simulation. She is a graduate of the Society of General Internal Medicine's prestigious TEACH Scholars program, currently serves on the Florida Clinical Skills Consortium and recently joined the Society of General Internal Medicine's Women's Caucus. Additionally, she has served in various roles on the Florida Chapter of the American College of Physicians Governors' Advisory Board.
Dr. Rubin is board-certified in Internal Medicine. She received her bachelor's degree from the University of Florida and her medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. She completed a residency and chief residency at Jackson Memorial Hospital in Miami, where she received accolades for her education and teaching efforts. Dr. Rubin was recently recognized as the 2023-2024 91制片厂 Distinguished Teacher of the Year and an 91制片厂COM Instructor of the Year for 2022-2023. Dr. Rubin is also a member of Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society and the Arnold P. Gold Humanism Honor Society.
